Privacy Policy

DevriQ Tools is designed to be privacy-first. Here is what we do and do not collect:

• We do NOT collect the files you process. PDF, image, and document processing runs inside your browser (client-side WebAssembly/JavaScript) or via ephemeral edge functions with zero data retention.
• We DO collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance monitoring. These logs are automatically deleted after 30 days.
• Tool usage counts (which tools are used, how many times) are collected anonymously — no personal data attached.
• Ratings you submit are stored with an anonymous browser fingerprint to prevent duplicate spam. This fingerprint cannot identify you personally.

Our tool architecture is designed to protect your data at every step:

• Level 1 — Pure Client-Side: PDF tools, image tools, and text utilities run entirely in your browser using JavaScript + WebAssembly. Your files are never sent anywhere.
• Level 2 — Edge Functions: AI-powered tools use Supabase Edge Functions as a secure proxy to AI APIs (Gemini, Groq). Your input text is passed through but is NOT stored or logged on our end. Edge function memory is cleared after each request.
• Level 3 — Zero Retention: Even for edge-processed requests, we enforce a zero-retention policy. No input data is written to any database.

We use browser local storage (not traditional cookies) for the following purposes:

• Recent Tools: We remember which tools you used recently so we can surface them on the homepage. This data lives only in your browser and is never sent to us.
• Your Ratings: After you rate a tool, we store your rating locally so we don't ask you again.
• Analytics (Vercel Analytics): We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, aggregate page view tracking. No personally identifiable information is collected. Data is aggregated and cannot be traced to individuals.

The following third parties may process limited data as part of our infrastructure:

Regardless of your location, you have the right to:

• Access any personal data we hold about you.
• Delete your locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
• Object to data processing by contacting us.
• Withdraw consent — since most processing is on-device, you always retain full control.

We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act, 2023 (India) as well as the EU GDPR.

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting any stored information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours via the email provided (if applicable) and post a public notice on this page.
